AChE/BChE-IN-34 is an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) inhibitor with IC50s of 5.97 μM and 4.57 μM, respectively. AChE/BChE-IN-34 functions as an antioxidant, oxidative stress inhibitor, reduces MDA levels, and elevates SOD and catalase in hippocampal tissue. AChE/BChE-IN-34 acts as a cognitive function enhancer, improves learning and memory in a Scopolamine (HY-N0296)-induced animal model. AChE/BChE-IN-34 is non-toxic in neuroblastoma cells across a specified concentration range. AChE/BChE-IN-34 can be used for the research of Alzheimer's disease[1].

Cell Line: SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells
Concentration: 15.625-250 μg/mL
Incubation Time: 24 h
Result: Maintained cell viability in a dose-dependent manner, with 100% viability at 15.625 μg/mL, 97.10% viability at 31.25 μg/mL, 93.21% viability at 125 μg/mL, and 62.5% viability at 250 μg/mL. Indicated no significant cytotoxicity across the tested range.

Animal Model: Wistar Albino (male/female, 200-250 g, Scopolamine-induced dementia model)[1]
Dosage: 3, 10, 30 mg/kg
Administration: i.p.; daily; 14 days
Result: Reduced escape latency and increased time in target quadrant (30 mg/kg, Morris Water Maze); reduced hippocampal AChE activity (30 mg/kg); decreased MDA levels and elevated SOD, Catalase activities (30 mg/kg); preserved hippocampal granular layer integrity with minimal vacuolation (30 mg/kg); showed partial improvements in cognitive function, oxidative stress markers, and histopathology at 3 and 10 mg/kg.
