Fumosorinone is a PTP1B and Shp2 inhibitor. Fumosorinone enhances insulin signaling by down-regulating PTP1B expression, increases the phosphorylation levels of IRβ, IRS-2, Akt, GSK3β, and Erk1/2, and has hypoglycemic and insulin resistance-lowering effects. Fumosorinone inhibits the proliferation and cycle arrest of cervical cancer and breast cancer cells. Fumosorinone can be used for research on diabetes and cancer[1][2].
