Acts upstream of or within several processes, including cellular response to leukemia inhibitory factor; positive regulation of chromatin binding activity; and positive regulation of retinoic acid receptor signaling pathway. Located in several cellular components, including GABA-ergic synapse; glutamatergic synapse; and photoreceptor ribbon synapse. Part of transcription repressor complex. Is active in presynaptic active zone cytoplasmic component and presynaptic cytosol. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; limb; lung; nervous system; and retina layer.
