Acts upstream of or within cellular response to Leukemia Inhibitory Factor and mitotic spindle assembly. Located in nucleus. Part of Myb complex. Is expressed in several structures, including brain; early conceptus; genitourinary system; hemolymphoid system; and skin. Used to study acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome.
