生物活性

Ginsenoside Ia is a triterpenoid saponin compound. Ginsenoside Ia exerts neuroprotective effects through antioxidant and apoptotic pathways. Ginsenoside Ia alleviates H2O2-induced neuronal damage, reduces ROS levels, inhibits cell apoptosis, and stabilizes mitochondria. Ginsenoside Ia is applicable in research on neurodegenerative diseases[1].

Cell Viability Assay[1]

Cell Line: H₂O₂-induced PC12 cells
Concentration: 50 μM
Incubation Time: 24 h
Result: Increased H₂O₂-induced PC12 cell viability to 91.48% (vs. 41.43% in the model group) at 50 μM.

Western Blot Analysis[1]

Cell Line: H₂O₂-induced PC12 cells
Concentration: 2.5, 5 and 10 μM
Incubation Time: 24 h
Result: Decreased cytoplasmic Keap1 and Nrf2 levels.
Increased nuclear Nrf2 levels.
Upregulated HO-1 and NQO1 expression.
Reduced the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio.
