MEDI-1341 (TAK-341) is a blood-brain barrier-penetrant anti-α-synuclein monoclonal antibody. MEDI-1341 binds to the C-terminal epitope of both monomeric and aggregated forms of α-synuclein, penetrates the blood-brain barrier, reduces levels of free extracellular α-synuclein in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and brain interstitial fluid, and inhibits the cell-to-cell transmission of preformed α-synuclein fibrils. MEDI-1341 is applicable for research on Parkinson’s disease [1] [2].
