生物活性

o-Anisidine is a phenol compound and can interact with amyloid-beta (1-40) wild-type, Iowa-mutant D23N and Osaka-mutant ΔE22. o-Anisidine can bind to Aβ1-40 Leu34 via hydrogen bonding. o-Anisidine induces formation of γ-H2AX, a biomarker of DNA damage. o-Anisidine causes gradual development of simple hyperplasia of rat urinary bladder urothelium with slight inflammation. o-Anisidine can be used for the researches of Alzheimer's disease and bladder cancer[1][2].

o-Anisidine (0.3-1.0%;饮食给药;每日;持续 4 周) 可在大鼠膀胱上皮中诱导时间依赖性的单纯性增生及持续性 γ-H2AX 形成,提示存在可能与膀胱癌发生相关的 DNA 损伤[2]

Animal Model: Male-specific pathogen-free rats (F344/DuCrl-
Crlj, 5 weeks old)[2]
Dosage: 0.3%; 1.0%
Administration: diet; daily; 4 weeks
Result: Detected simple hyperplasia of the bladder urothelium from week 1, progressing through week 4, with slight inflammation in the 1.0% group。
Increased γ-H2AX-positive bladder epithelial cells significantly in a time-dependent manner from day 2 to week 4, and remained significantly elevated 2 weeks post-recovery in the 1.0% group.
Observed no apparent bladder lesions or increases in γ-H2AX formation in the 0.3% group.
