Phenanthridine (40 μM) 被用作底物以证明，体外化学硫化可使 hAOX1-WT、co-hAOX1 和 hAOX1-S1271L 的比活性提升约 10 倍；硫化处理后，hAOX1-WT 的比活性达到 1516.7 mU/mg，co-hAOX1 达到 1459.1 mU/mg，hAOX1-S1271L 达到 1132.1 mU/mg[1]。
Phenanthridine 被用作底物以证明，密码子优化的 hAOX1-WT 的最适 pH 约为 8.0，而 hAOX1-S1271L 的最适 pH 则略有偏移，约为 8.3[1]。
