Abstract This study describes an efficient class of hemilabile benzimidazolyl–phosphane ligands that can be easily accessed from commercially available and inexpensive starting materials. The application of this ligand array in the palladium-catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction of aryl chlorides with arylboronic acids is described.
