Abstract: Rates of isomerization of 1H-indene-1-carboxylic acid to 1H-indene-3-carboxylic acid were measured in dilute aqueous solutions of HC104, NaOH, and CH~ COZH and H2P04-,(CH3) 3CPO'H-, and HC03-buffers.
