Chemical Properties
White powder. The characteristics are that the paste has low retrogradation, high stability to acid, alkali and heat, high transparency of the paste, and good freeze-thaw stability. Intermolecular hydrogen bonds are not easily formed.
Uses
Starch acetate is mainly used for warp sizing of pure cotton, polyester cotton and synthetic fibers.

Starch acetate is obtained by esterification of starch with acetic anhydride or vinyl acetate under alkaline conditions.
