Membrane-permeable analog of Fura 2 with high selectivity for Ca2+ binding. Fura 2-AM can be delivered into cells by microinjection or using Influx pinocytic cell-loading reagent. After crossing the membrane, the product is quickly metabolized by cytoplas
Biological Activity
Fluorescent Ca 2+ indicator. Selective for Ca 2+ over other divalent cations Mg 2+ , Zn 2+ , Fe 2+ and Mn 2+ . Used to determine intracellular Ca 2+ concentration.
