生物活性

PCB-OAA is a biocompatible multivinyl polycarboxybetaine macromonomer and that exhibits anti-fouling activity. PCB-OAA can form a hydrogel in vitreous cavity and shows an appealing ability to prevent significantly inflammatory response, fibrosis and complications such as raised intraocular pressure, and cataract formation. PCB-OAA can be used for the research of vitreous substitution[1].

Result: Maintained above 90 % relative cell viability after 72 h of co-incubation.

PCB-OAA-7 hydrogel (以 10:1 体积比与 200 mM DTT 混合的 7%溶液；玻璃体内给药；单次剂量) 在兔玻璃体腔中可稳定存在 6 个月，能维持正常的视网膜功能与眼内压，且具有优异的生物相容性，无眼部不良反应[1]。
PCB-OAA-7 (以 10/1 的体积比与 200 mM DTT 混合的 7% 溶液；皮下给药；单次剂量) 水凝胶在小鼠皮下组织中表现出优异的体内生物相容性与抗纤维化能力[1]。

Animal Model: C57BL/6 (male, 6 weeks old, 20 g)[1]
Dosage: 7% PCB-OAA solution mixed with 200 mM DTT at a 10/1 volume ratio, forming PCB-OAA-7 hydrogel
Administration: Subcutaneously injection; single dose
Result: Showed negligible inflammatory cells or deposited collagen around subcutaneous implantation sites throughout 28 days of observation.
