Sealers are used to control humidity, reduce evaporation of samples, and prevent spills and contamination. Adhesive-backed seals are self-sticking for fast and effective closure. Heat-sealable films are inert for sensitive samples. Heat-sealable films are available in a clear polypropylene or aluminium foil and may be used for polypropylene microplates only. The nonpierceable, flexible cap mats individually seal the top of each well. They may be used on either filter- or solid-bottom microplates. The loose-fitting polystyrene lids are ideal for robotic applications and suitable for use as dust covers to prevent splashing or contamination when plates are being moved around the laboratory. |
