本分离液为Ficoll、羟乙基淀粉550与泛影酸葡jia胺的混合液。抗凝外周血可在分离液中分层。离心时，在Ficoll、羟乙基淀粉的作用下红细胞与粒细胞聚集并迅速沉降；此时，淋巴细胞及其他单个核细胞仍处于分离液上层，红细胞污染可忽略不计。大部分血小板可在细胞清洗低速离心过程中去除。 其他人及动物多种比重细胞分离液，因不同种属不同比重分离液的细胞离散系数及细胞带电不同，用户在制定分离液时应提供所需分离液的比重、动物种属及被分离细胞的名称。

适用于从动物抗凝血液中分离淋巴细胞，无菌条件下所分离的淋巴细胞可用于细胞培养等。本品仅供科研使用。

本品易感染细菌，需无菌条件操作。无菌条件下操作，启封后置常温保存。如 4℃保存，本分离液易出现白色结晶，影响分离效果。
