产品背景介绍：Motilin, a 22-amino acid hormone synthesized by cells of the small intestine, regulates interdigestive gastrointestinal contraction. cloned a cDNA encoding the human motilin precursor from an intestinal cDNA library. The predicted amino acid sequence indicated that the motilin precursor consists of 115 amino acids and includes a 25-residue N-terminal signal peptide followed by the 22-amino acid motilin sequence and a long, 68-residue C-terminal peptide.Function : Plays an important role in the regulation of interdigestive gastrointestinal motility and indirectly causes rhythmic contraction of duodenal and colonic smooth muscle.Subcellular Location : Secreted.Similarity : Belongs to the motilin family.胃动素属于兴奋胃肠道平滑肌运动的脑肠肽，主要在胃肠道表达。
