Target

Complement component C2 is a component of the classical complement pathway and is involved in activation of C3 and C5. C2 consists of a single polypeptide chain with a molecular mass of 102 kDa.

Application 1

ELISA
HYB 050-04 reacts with human C2 in both native and denatured forms. In ELISA, strong reaction is seen with C2 directly coated onto the microtiter well. (1)

In Western blotting after SDS-PAGE, HYB 050-04 reacts with C2 and a subfraction of C2 believed to be C2b, both under reducing and non-reducing conditions. (1)
