Urocortin(UCN)属于促肾上腺皮质激素释放激素肽类(CRF)家族新成员,是一种40个氨基酸的肽类.为神经内分泌肽。

Acts in vitro to stimulate the secretion of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH). Binds with high affinity to CRF Receptor types 1, 2 alpha, and 2 beta. 

A powerful cytoprotective effect of urocortin peptide administration against ischemia and reperfusion injury has been demonstrated in isolated cardiomyocyte models, as well as in the intact heart both in vitro and in vivo.
