Extracted from Curculigo orchioides Gaertn. dried rhizome;Store the product in sealed, cool and dry condition. Orcinol glucoside (Sakakin)can improve depressive behaviour in chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) rats by downregulating HPA axis hyperactivity and increasing BDNF expression and ERK1/2 phosphorylation in the hippocampus. Orcinol glucoside and orcinol monohydrate are anxiolytic agents without sedative effects, indicating their therapeutic potential for anxiety. Orcinol glucoside shows potent antioxidative activities.
