Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor II (BMPR-II) is a type II serine/threonine kinase which mediates cellular responses to BMPs. BMPR-II is characterized by lacking of a GS domain, and presence of a C-terminal extension typical of type II receptors. BMPRII binds BMP2, BMP4 and BMP7 weakly in the absence of type I receptor, and the binding can be facilitated by the presence of the type I receptor, including BMPR-IA/Brk1, BMPR-IB, and ActR-I. BMPR-II plays a key role in cell growth.Defects in BMPR-II have been linked to primary pulmonary hypertension.Human and mouse BMPR-II are highly conserved and share 97 % amino acid sequence identity.

·Description
Recombinant Human BMPRII produced by transiently transfected human cell is the extracellular domain(Accession#Q13873) ( Ser27 –Ile151) of human BMPRII fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

·Quality Control

Purity: Greater than 90.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.
Amino-Acid Sequence: Predicted N terminal amino acid is Ser27.
Endotoxin:Less than 0.1ng/μg (1EU/μg) of rHu BMPRII.

·Formulation
Sterile and Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.

·Reconstitution
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized rHu BMPRII in sterile water not less than 100μg/ml.

·Storage
Lyophilized rHu BMPRII although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution rHu BMPRII should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and aliquots of reconstituted samples containing 0.1% BSA are stable up to 3 months below -18°C for future use.
