A series of s-triazine based urea derivatives have been synthesized by a palladium catalyzed C–N coupling reaction. The synthetic route developed involves the Pd-catalyzed C–N coupling reaction from 2-chloro-4,6-disubstituted-s-triazine with a variety of ureas using the catalyst system Pd₂(dba)₃, Xantphos and Cs₂CO₃ as the base in the presence of 1,4-dioxane under a nitrogen atmosphere. Under these conditions, the reaction has produced fair to good yields.
