Abstract

We evidenced the conversion of an unprecedented intermolecular bridged-proton bimetallic P-metallated phosphoryl complex [{[Ru](Ph₂P [double bond, length as m-dash] O)}₂H][PF₆]₃ to its corresponding H-bonded water complex [{[Ru](Ph₂PO)}₂(H₂O)][PF₆]₂, a rare motif. Their synthesis, NMR data, X-ray crystal structures, electrochemical and photophysical properties are reported.
