Abstract
The elimination of hydrogen fluoride from N,N′-bis[(2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenyl)fluoroboryl]ethylenediamine 1 gives the title compound 2 as a thermally very stable moiety; water is easily added across the BN triple bonds.
