Hierarchical worm-like CoS₂ assembled by ultrathin nanosheets with an average thickness of 2.1 nm were synthesized by a simple solvothermal process without any surfactant or template. Such hierarchical nanostructures exhibited a high specific capacity and excellent rate capability.
