This review covers the literature on the subject of biologically active peptides from the glands of amphibians. These include neuropeptides, antimicrobial and anticancer active peptides, antiviral agents, fungicides and peptides which complex with Ca2+ calmodulin. Other topics covered include sex pheromones from amphibians, and the use of peptide profiling to differentiate between species and different populations of the same species.
