Abstract

Real-time liquid-cell transmission electron microscopy was utilized to gain insight into the growth and dissolution of silver nanoparticles. The results showed that a concentration gradient of the radiolysis species arose because of nonuniformities in the electron beam, which led to the inhomogeneous growth of silver nanoparticles.
