Abstract

A facile microwave assisted aqueous method has been developed to rapidly prepare stable CdSexTe1−x–CdS quantum dots. Based on this material, core–shell type II CdSexTe1−x–CdS quantum dot sensitized solar cells have been assembled and a power conversion efficiency as high as 5.04% has been obtained.
