Abstract

Four ladder-type donor based small molecules were synthesized and compared to investigate the influence of their core structures, π-bridge and end groups on the crystalline nature, charge transport and photovoltaic performances. The results showed that the indacenodithieno[3,2-b]thiophene (IDTT) core was beneficial for the crystallinity and π-bridge structures could improve the photovoltaic performance.
