Disperse Violet 26 is a commercially available fluorochrome used as an on–off fluorescent probe for the detection of ClO⁻, which is one of the biologically important reactive oxygen species (ROS), in HEPES : CH₃CN = 1 : 1 (v/v pH = 7.0) with an excellent selectivity and sensitivity for ClO⁻ compared to other analytes.
