Electrically insulating textile and synthetic fibers were cladded with chemically modified graphene via a three-step technique to induce electrical conductivity. Electrical conductivities of 13 and 4.5 S cm⁻¹ were obtained for aramid and nylon fibers, respectively. The graphene cladding is non-destroyable when washed in detergent or sonicated.
