Cu oxide-modified CeO₂ (CuO_x–CeO₂) with 2 wt% Cu loading amount was the most effective and reusable heterogeneous catalyst for selective one-pot imine synthesis from methylarenes and anilines via direct oxidation of the sp³ C–H bond in the methylarenes with atmospheric air (0.1 MPa) as an oxidant.
