Abstract

A 3-D metal–organic framework constructed from the linear trimetallic [Cd₂NaO₆(H₂O)₆] secondary building units (SBUs) and a long flexible 6,6’-dithiodinicotinate tecton is presented, which has a 6-connected (4⁶.6⁹)-hxg network with high-symmetry hexagonal geometries.
