Abstract

Four AgI ions are linked by four 5-phenyl-1H-tetrazole (Hptz) units to form a molecular crown [Ag4(ptz)4] as a structural analogue of calix[4]arene, which are further supported by Keggin anions to build a 2D layer containing two kinds of cycles, [Ag8(ptz)4(HPWV2WVI10O40)]·2H2O (1).
