Abstract

Through in situ partial replacement of Bi3+ ions with rare earth ions like Eu3+ in a conductive Bi(III)–MOF matrix, the cathode-ray luminescence performance gets significantly enhanced. The first example of this modified Bi-SMOF affords an alternative strategy in designing phosphors for field emission displays.
