This paper reports on the application of efficient, easily recoverable and reusable TiO₂ nanoparticles as a heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of N-arylureas in water at room temperature. The catalyst was characterized using the powder XRD, BET and TEM. The significant advantages of TiO₂ nanoparticles, such as high yields, elimination of organic solvents, simple work-up procedure, mild reaction conditions and as an alternative to those corrosive, hazardous and polluting homogeneous catalysts, warrant its potential application in industrial.
