Naturally occurring quinones. Part XVI. Structure of maturinone and related compounds
Journal of the Chemical Society C: Organic Pub Date : , DOI:10.1039/J39690001184
Abstract
It is established, by synthesis, that maturinone is 4,9-dihydro-3,5-dimethylnaphtho[2,3-b]furan-4,9-dione and not the 3,8-dimethyl isomer. The structures assigned to several related sesquiterpenoids in Cacalia decomposita require revision.
