Dialkyltin dimethoxides, R2Sn(OMe)2, react very readily with a wide variety of compounds R2SnX2(X = F, Cl, Br, I, CNS, O·CO·R, or O·SO2·R) to give the disproportionation products of the composition R2Sn(OMe)X. The properties of these compounds are described.
