The data on the synthesis and reactions of organic compounds containing bonds of Te to Group 14 elements are generalised and systematised. The use of these compounds in the synthesis of organoelement compounds, complexes with organotellurium ligands, tellurium-containing clusters and metal tellurides is reviewed.
