Arevirumab (Arevirumab-3) is a pan-lineage neutralizing human monoclonal antibody cocktail (8.9F, 12.1F, 37.D). Arevirumab protects cynomolgus monkeys from severe Lassa fever caused by lineage II and III LASV isolates. Arevirumab is applicable to research related to Lassa fever[1].

Animal Model: Macaca fascicularis (healthy adult, Asian origin, male and female, age ~4 to 5.5 y, weight 3.0 to 5.2 kg)[1]
Dosage: 15 mg/kg of each monoclonal antibody (8.9F, 12.1F, 37.2D) in the Arevirumab-3 cocktail
Administration: i.v.; days 8, 11, and 14 post-challenge
Result: Ensured 100% survival of all 5 treated macaques at study end.
Cleared infectious LASV from circulation by day 11 post-challenge in all treated animals.
Eliminated circulating viral genomic RNA (vRNA) in all treated animals by day 21 post-challenge.
Reduced tissue vRNA levels significantly compared to untreated control (multiplicity-adjusted P ≤ 0.020 for all assayed tissues).
Caused a significant difference in peak viremia (measured by both vRNA and infectious virus) between treated animals and control cohorts (P = 0.004 and P = 0.007, respectively).
