Benzalkonium chloride (solid) (Alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride (solid)) is a quaternary ammonium preservative, cationic surfactant, and antimicrobial (Antimicrobial) agent. Benzalkonium chloride (solid) is toxic[1].

体内研究
(In Vivo)

Benzalkonium chloride (1.19-11.9 μg/cm2；经鼻腔给予；每日 8 次) 在 Wistar 大鼠中表现出剂量依赖性的鼻上皮毒性：1.19 μg/cm2 剂量下未观察到任何效应，5.97 μg/cm2 剂量下出现轻度至中度损伤，11.9 μg/cm2 剂量下损伤更为严重[1]。
Benzalkonium chloride (0.001%; 经鼻腔给予; 每日 2 次; 14 至 28 天) 可诱导兔出现鼻上皮退行性改变[1]。
