生物活性

BTA-EG6 is a brain-penetrant aggregated amyloid-β () peptide binder with a Kd of 290 nM for Aβ1-42. BTA-EG6 binds to aggregated Aβ and forms protein-resistive coatings that block interactions between Aβ and catalase. BTA-EG6 protects neuroblastoma cells from Aβ-induced toxicity and oxidative stress, and inhibits Aβ-induced increases in cellular hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) levels. BTA-EG6 can be used for the research of alzheimer’s disease (AD)[1].

Cell Proliferation Assay[1]

Cell Line: Differentiated SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cells exposed to aggregated Aβ 1-42 peptides
Concentration: 5, 10, 20 μM (in presence of 25 μM aggregated Aβ 1-42)
Incubation Time: 24 h
Result: Increased cell viability in a dose-dependent manner, over 80% at 20 μM, which was statistically significant compared to cells treated with Aβ alone.

Immunofluorescence[1]

Cell Line: SH-SY5Y cells
Concentration: 40 μM
Incubation Time: 12 h
Result: Reduced fluorescence intensity of amyloid-β 1-42.
