Gal-1-IN-1 is a potent and selective human galectin-1 (hGal-1) inhibitor with a Ki of 0.022 μM. Gal-1-IN-1 blocks hGal-1 binding to tumor cells and suppresses human galectin-1-induced preaparesis. Gal-1-IN-1 reduces hGal-1-expressing cancer cell viability. Gal-1-IN-1 can be used for the research of breast cancer[1].

Gal-1-IN-1 (Compound 15-PF) 可强效抑制人半乳糖凝集素-1，其 Ki 为 0.022 μM，且对人半乳糖凝集素-3-CRD 的选择性高达 950 倍 (Ki = 22 μM)[1]。
Gal-1-IN-1 与人半乳糖凝集素-1 结合，其 Kd 为 0.0005 ± 0.0002 μM，且相对于人半乳糖凝集素-3-CRD 表现出 18000 倍的选择性 (KD = 9 μM)[1]。
Gal-1-IN-1 可抑制人半乳糖凝集素-1 与 MDA-MB-231 乳腺癌细胞的结合，其 IC50 为 64 ± 26 pM[1]。
Gal-1-IN-1 (10-20 μM; 1 h) 可在 10 μM 和 20 μM 浓度下完全抑制人半乳糖凝集素-1 诱导的 Jurkat T 细胞凋亡前期变化[1]。
Gal-1-IN-1 (0.05-100 μM; 72 h) 可在 25-100 μM 浓度下将表达 hGal-1 的 MDA-MB-231 乳腺癌细胞的存活率降低多达 50%，而对不表达 hGal-1 的 HEK-293 细胞的细胞毒性可忽略不计[1]。
