Used to study acute kidney failure; cystitis; end stage renal disease; myocarditis; and osteoporosis. Biomarker of retinal ischemia and transient cerebral ischemia. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in ankylosing spondylitis; arteriosclerosis; and ulcerative colitis. Orthologous to human PTGER4 (prostaglandin E receptor 4).
