ICI 198615 is a lipoxygenase inhibitor. ICI 198615 inhibits the activity of lipoxygenases involved in eicosanoid metabolism. ICI 198615 attenuates the early phase of bronchoconstriction induced by ET-1[1].

Animal Model: Mongrel dogs (~20 kg; anesthetized)[1]
Dosage: 0.1 µg/kg
Administration: i.v.; single dose
Result: Inhibited the early phase (measured at 2 minutes post-ET-1 exposure) of ET-1-induced increase in collateral resistance (Rcs).
Did not affect the late phase bronchoconstrictive response.
