L-Phosphinothricin is a glutamine synthetase inhibitor and a non-selective herbicide. L-Phosphinothricin acts as a competitive inhibitor, induces toxic ammonium ion accumulation in plants and bacteria, and indirectly blocks the photosynthesis process. L-Phosphinothricin exerts herbicidal activity against both monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plant species, is primarily absorbed through plant leaves, exhibits limited translocation in plants, and undergoes rapid degradation by soil microorganisms with no root uptake. L-Phosphinothricin can be used for research on weed control in agricultural and non-crop scenarios[1].

(In Vivo)

L-Phosphinothricin (有效成分 150 g a.i./ha；单次苗后叶面喷雾) 对牛筋草的防效随时间下降，施药后 7 天 (DAA) 防效最高，达 40%，施药后 28 天 (DAA) 防效降至 10%[1]。
L-Phosphinothricin (有效成分 150 g/公顷；单次苗后叶面喷雾) 对 Brachiaria decumbens 具有持续的高防效，施药后 7 DAA 防效为 75%，14 至 21 DAA 防效达 85%；对 Euphorbia heterophylla 的防效稳定且优异，7 至 28 DAA 的最低防效为 88.8%；对 Borreria verticilata 防效显著，7 DAA 防效为 90%，14 DAA 防效为 80%[1]。
L-Phosphinothricin (150 g a.i./ha；叶面喷雾；单次施用) 在苗后施用时对 Lolium 属杂草的防除效果极弱[1]。
