Methiozolin is an oxazoline herbicide designed for the selective control of annual bluegrass in turfgrass. Methiozolin strongly inhibits the biosynthesis of cellulose and hemicellulose in corn root cells at low concentrations. Methiozolin inhibits recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana tyrosine aminotransferase, with a IC50 of approximately 200 µM. Methiozolin not only effectively controls vegetative growth but also significantly suppresses inflorescence formation, which helps reduce the seed bank[1].

Methiozolin (采用 CO2 加压履带式喷雾器，按 300 L ha-1、280 kPa 的参数进行叶面喷雾，剂量为 250-4000 g a.i. ha-1) 在剂量 ≤ 1000 g a.i. ha-1 时对所有受试草坪草安全；在更高剂量 (2000-4000 g a.i. ha-1) 下会观察到暂时性、可恢复的药害，且该药害会在施药后 6 周内消退或减轻[1]。
Methiozolin (500-2000 g ha-1; 叶面喷施) 可呈剂量依赖性抑制一年生早熟禾的穗部形成；在等效剂量下，其对穗数的抑制作用强于对穗长的抑制，且在 2000 g ha-1 剂量下对穗数的抑制率可达 80% 以上[1]。
Methiozolin (500-2000 g ha−1；茎叶+土壤喷雾；仅茎叶喷雾；仅土壤滴注处理) 对早熟禾的除草活性完全依赖于土壤吸收，因为仅茎叶处理无防效，而仅土壤处理的防效与茎叶+土壤联合处理相当[1]。
Methiozolin (500-1000 g a.i. ha-1; 采用手持喷雾器进行叶面喷雾，施药量为 1000 L ha-1；每 3 周 1 次共 12 次) 在秋季施用时对一年生早熟禾的防效最高 (约 90%-100%)，会对匍匐剪股颖产生可恢复的暂时性药害，该药害可在 6 月前消退；而春季施用的防效较低 (40%-60%)，且无持续性损伤[1]。
