Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl (Morphactin) is a plant growth regulator. Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl preserves chlorophyll and suppresses senescence. Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl regulates chlorophyll metabolic enzymes and alleviates heat-induced leaf senescence by enhancing chlorophyll content and reducing electrolyte leakage. Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl promotes shoot redifferentiation and tracheary element development in tobacco calluses. Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl can be applied to the investigation of heat-induced leaf senescence[1][2].

(In Vitro)

Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl (10 µM；叶面喷施；每 7 天 1 次；共 25 天) 可通过促进叶绿素合成 (使 PBGD 活性提升最高达 38.56%)、抑制叶绿素降解 (使关键降解酶活性降低最高达 49.14%) 来抑制匍匐翦股颖的热诱导叶片衰老，同时改善其草坪质量、膜稳定性及叶绿素含量[1]。
Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl 可诱导 Nicotiana tabacum 'Wisconsin No. 38' 的髓愈伤组织再分化出芽。1.0 mg/L 该药剂与 2.0 mg/L Kinetin (HY-N0160) 联合处理时，出芽率可达 70%；而单独使用 1.0 mg/L 该药剂时，出芽率仅为 10%[2]。
