Nicoxamat (N-Hydroxynicotinamide) is a HCV inhibitor as well as a selective HDAC6 inhibitor. Nicoxamat is applicable to research related to hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection[1].

(In Vitro)

Nicoxamat (compound IIa) 可抑制 Huh7 luc/neo 细胞中 HCV 全基因组复制子的增殖，其 EC50 为 25 μM，CC50 为 450 μM，选择性指数为 18[1]。
Nicoxamat (20-100 μM) 可在 Huh7-luc/neo 细胞中诱导 α-微管蛋白呈浓度依赖性的高乙酰化[1]。
Nicoxamat (100 μM; 72 h) 不会在 Huh7-luc/neo 细胞中诱导显著的组蛋白 H3 乙酰化，表明其对 I 类 HDAC 具有选择性[1]。
Nicoxamat (0-100 μM) 在 Huh7-luc/neo 细胞中表现出浓度依赖性的 HCV 复制子抑制作用和 HDAC6 抑制活性，且在低浓度下其 HCV 抑制活性相较于 HDAC6 抑制活性更强[1]。
