SBI-5844 (SBI-1275844) is a eIF4F complex inhibitor and antiviral agent. SBI-5844 disrupts the assembly of the eIF4F complex and blocks the interaction between eIF4E and eIF4G. SBI-5844 inhibits the synthesis of HCoV-OC43 nucleocapsid protein and reduces the levels of HCoV-OC43 RNA and total protein. SBI-5844 can be used in studies related to human coronavirus OC43 (HCoV-OC43) infection[1].

SBI-5844 (5-20 µM) 可通过降低 eIF4G1-eIF4E 的结合水平并提高 4EBP1-eIF4E 的结合水平，破坏 HCoV-OC43 感染的 A549 细胞中的 eIF4F 复合物[1]。
SBI-5844 (10 µM; 24 h) 可降低活 A549 细胞中 eIF4E 与 eIF4G 的相互作用[1]。
SBI-5844 (10 µM; 24 h) 可强效降低 HCoV-OC43 病毒 RNA 水平，并逆转感染诱导的宿主基因表达变化，使其在 Vero E6 和 A549 细胞中均与未感染细胞的状态一致[1]。
