SMCC-PE is a dipalmitoylphosphatidylethanolamine derivative modified with the heterobifunctional crosslinker SMCC. SMCC-PE is an intermediate formed by conjugating the SMCC linker with R-phycoerythrin for antibody conjugation[2].

SMCC-PE (蛋黄 PC/胆固醇/SMCC-PE 摩尔比 6:3:0.5；高真空干燥 2 小时，超声处理 14 分钟，4°C 孵育 20 小时) 可构成稳定的、以单层为主的 200 nm 脂质体，该脂质体可实现 SFP-3 肽的共价偶联，偶联产率为 10-20%，最终肽/总脂质比例为 1:400[1]。
SMCC (10 mg/mL; 1 h) 于 25°C 下与纯化的 PE 反应，生成活化的 SMCC-PE 中间体，过量的 SMCC 通过体积排阻色谱法去除[2]。
